One of the cats broke a glass in the sink the other day, and I cut my finger on it while I was doing dishes. It hurts. Especially since I tend to snap my fingers to get the animals' attention when they're misbehaving, and the cut's on that finger, and I keep forgetting that. Mrrph.

Also, we have no AC in the house and it's fucking hot in here. Why did the sun have to come out? I preferred it raining all day...

I have totally failed at writing for this entire month, and I hate it. I am still trying to get back on track for TARDIS Big Bang, but I keep staring at it and wanting to cry. I wish my brain were more cooperative when I need it to be - maybe deadline panic will kick in soon and I'll miraculously pull it off anyway. It doesn't seem very likely, but still possible. Ish.

...yes, my life is incredibly boring and I really have nothing of interest to report. However, a few people asked to know where I'd be playing when I found places for my kids, and I've got three of them in games at the moment.
- The Doctor will be in trans_9 at the next podpop (June 1).
- Jack Harkness will be in hometrail when the game opens, on May 20.
- River Song is at paperkey, and has been for a few months now.

I'm not plotting to drag anyone out of games they're already in or anything, but if any of you have time for a new game, I would love to have friends at any of those games. Especially Paperkey, which has an awesome premise and we have been promised a plot as soon as there are a few more characters and I very much do not want it to die. ♥?

...I'm gonna go have coffee and remind myself that I am, in fact, a writer. Wish me luck.

Ach. Paperkey looks really interesting, but I don't really have anyone that would do very well in that setting. Both Luka and Mio are too invested in their badass (in different ways) to do well in a setting with no violence, and my most prominent other headvoice(s) is a bigendered threadmage that would be rather annoyed by the lack of of an economic system with which to earn a living by.

Trans9 also looks fun though, and I might consider sending one of Luka's clone-sisters over there. I'd have to read up on a few threads and the like to see how it'd be likely to go over though. I know from experience with Luka that it'd likely be difficult to generate CR at first, so I'd want to see if there are any characters that would be likely to help her develop as a person. (Also to see how mission logs go and such as well, since I think that'd also be a key point in developing CR.)


At any rate, I'm not allowed to app anywhere until finals are over with and I've moved in June.


Iiiii'm not sure what I'm saying with this other that I might turn up in a game you're in in the near future, or I might not. I'm not sure why I felt a need to take so long to say that, though.

Paperkey is pretty awesome, but yeah, it does require a lot of thinking about who to bring over there. I got lucky in that I had a character I'd been dying to play for a while (who already had a canon death!) who likes mysteries and poking at things, but is not as much of a suicidal idiot as the Doctor. XD

And Trans9 is very welcoming OOCly, at least - ask me again after I've had the Doctor in for a month or so and I'll let you know how I'm doing ICly, though the Doctor is ridiculously easy to generate CR for no matter where he is, so he may not be a good measuring stick. Beka's got a character there too, so asking her once we're in would help too. Trans9 has app cycles, and I think after June the next batch of apps/new characters isn't until... August? Maybe September? Yeah, you've got plenty of time to consider that one.

Yeah, my kids tend to be a bit difficult to generate CR for. Hopefully my next kid for BTR, Aya/Alex (the threadmage) will be much easier, since at least in hir Alex persona, se's ridiculously outgoing. (Alex also has a huge hard on for Kaden, which has me going "Nooooo! Stay away from the sketch!")

Cats are tricky and devious creatures, clearly the cat plotted it this way so that you can no longer snap at him/her.

Paperkey looks pretty interesting and having an Epic Plot is pretty cool. Although I haven't RPed very much at all, I'm kinda tempted. A little bit. Especially if it has a River Song.

You know, I would not put it past them at all. If I don't snap at them, they pretend they don't hear me.

Paperkey's pretty small right now, all the players are nice, and I think it would probably be a good game for someone who hasn't RPed much. And if you were interested, I'd be more than happy to help you with anything you need. I'm still finding my footing with River, but I love playing her, and would definitely love having more people to bounce her off of. ^^

A small group would probably be easier to get into, but I'm not sure who I'd want to play. There're far too many awesome characters to choose from!

Amy is very tempting, because Amy is fantastic and her and River would have some banter-y good times, but then again I'm far too tempted to choose someone from Supernatural too *agonizes*

An Amy would be wonderful to have, especially as I've been trying to convince starletfallen to bring in Eleven once the season's over. There are a lot of SPN characters who could work really well there too, though...

You could always bring one in and then pull in the other later if you like the game! ...I am a habitual enabler when it comes to RP. Just so you know. XD

Having read some more through the comm (and saw that there is also a Wash! River and Wash examining the wingerbaskets was kinda awesome and cute!) I am a whole lot more tempted, especially since it is now summer and time is a bit more plenty. Sign-ups are still open for the current...plot thing right?

Yeah, that was not the wisest thing I've ever done in RP. I still managed, but just barely! These days I'm trying the "play one or two characters at a few different games" approach instead...

That thread with River and Wash was so much fun. Poor scifi characters are not prepared for this magic nonsense. XD

Apps are still open, yes! I think the mod's waiting for a couple more characters before we really get into anything plotty, so you haven't missed anything important yet!

Yay! I'm so excited. ^^ After you're accepted, you generally introduce yourself in the OOC comm, and then toss your character into the game - usually after Nenya explains the situation and drops them off at the house they'll be staying in. So they can say hi to their housemates, and... I've been sending River over to say hi to her neighbours when they arrive, because she's nosy like that. XD
