My puppy is being aggressively cute. It's both endearing and really, really irritating. Also, she's getting pretty damn big now, so I have absolutely no idea how she manages to be as stealthy as she is. I'll be sitting on the couch, laptop in front of me, and then suddenly I look down and she's on the couch next to me, head on my thigh, and ASLEEP, so she's obviously been there for some time. And she makes these disgruntled grumbling noises if I try to move her. Really, Ace? Must you?

Peer pressure is real, and as a result, I am downloading Alias. I blame [livejournal.com profile] kawaiispinel, and have already established I will be coming after her if I develop a headvoice of any sort. I'll forgive her, though, because the idea of Juliet being in Torchwood 4 fills me with such squee. (I don't even watch Lost, guys. I just love these characters because of Chris.)

That squee, by the way, resulted in the following conversation about Torchwood, which I feel must be shared because... well, just because.

Me: I can't put my finger on it, but something about her is very Torchwoody... also, if you're not careful, you're going to end up playing half of Torchwood. JUST LIKE ME.
[livejournal.com profile] kawaiispinel: That thought totally occured to me after I read Jack's suggestion post. XD Geez, that's, what, three possible characters in, including Marshall?
Me: Yeah. Torchwood does that to you. It just sort of sneaks up on you and one day you turn around and go "Waaaaiiit... what happened here?"
...At least, that's how it happened to me.
[livejournal.com profile] kawaiispinel: *snort* Sounds like Torchwood. Clearly their covert ops budget was spent sneaking up on unsuspecting people like that... Or, you know, something clever like that.
Me: So it would seem. Torchwood: They have their priorities straight.
Chris: *giggles* Oh yes. Clearly.

And here, have a meme: Gather all your RP journals, list the characters and any AU versions you RP. Open the post to the public so even lurkers can ask the muses questions. Respond with that RP account.

It's not all my characters - I'm mostly going to be doing my Rift characters (present, possible future, and random lurkers), and characters from my current writing project, because they're the ones talking to me now, with some random additions. Yes, I never can follow the rules of memes exactly as they are written. And if your characters feel like questioning mine? By all means, have at.

[The Doctor [!7]] Oh, well now, be fair – it wasn't always little girls. And most of them couldn't really be called "little". And then there were a few for which neither class of descriptor, size nor gender, could really apply at all....

Oh! You should keep an eye out for Kamelion there, somewhere; he's been knocking around in the back hallways for I don't know how long. Decided that he'd rather stay by the TARDIS whom he liked rather than out there in the big mean world with projective psychics. Not that I can really blame him, in his position. Haven't seen him in months, now that I think about it, but that's hardly unusual.

Just, you know, be aware that he may come wandering up to the console room sometime in the next... year or so. (Not that I expect her to be stuck there that long.)

Oh, well, fair enough. It's really more the adopting thing I think she's picked up on. Just wondering if I can blame that on you. ...I'm not sure who to blame the odd grammar on.

I'm sorry, who's Kamelion?

[The Doctor [!7]] Kamelion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamelion)? Shapeshifting, psychically-controlled android? He's sort of programmed to obey the strongest will around – blastedly inconvenient, not to mention unfair, for a sentient creature, I say – so the last time he went out I wound up in a tug-of-war for his psyche with some would-be conqueror names Pharaxis. Only won when I called the TARDIS up and brought her into the fray, which is slightly embarrassing. Still, even asleep, she's a force to be reckoned with.

And you can't rightly hold me to blame for that language – if you want to blame someone, go after Omega, I'd say. I understand he was the one who created the structured query controls in the first place. I'd only had her away for just shy of a week when reality gapes wide and grabs her. Before that, she was just all ambient psychic noise. •shrugs•

OH! You still have him? ...Sorry, universal differences keep... throwing me for a loop. I won't even go into the differences between my universe and Rose's. I'll keep an eye out for him.

I would like to make it clear that her falling through the Rift was none of my fault. Unless you ask the Rani.

[The Doctor [!7]] Fair enough. That whole closed-universe thing, isn't it? No such quiet here. There's another one of you out somewhere that I – I swear Kosch managed to convince him to come testify before the Senate, somehow. (That man. I swear, it's lucky for us all that he hasn't turned those persuasive skills to nefarious purposes.)

The Rani just assumes everything is our fault, doesn't she? Leaving aside the badgers, which actually were... a bit. But mostly hers. Mostly.

Yeah. Wasn't quite so cut off before, but you know. Things... happen. At least you won't catch me testifying before a senate of any kind. (Please keep him in your universe. That one conversation in the locked room is all I think I'll be able to take for a couple decades, at least.)

She really does. And it hardly ever is. Mostly.

Believe me, I have no intention of letting Kosch out of my sight for the next... long time. One of the anitperks of having a non-closed universe; Nobody's Friend the Master got hold of him a few weeks back. He's just now recovering, not that he'll admit it. And he calls me stubborn.

Oh. I can't imagine that went well. At all. I'm sorry. Not that it could have possibly been my Master, but even so... That's good. That you're keeping an eye on him.

[The Doctor [!7]] Well, Kosch is a tough old bird, and I have to say the Master probably got the worse of it. In a manner of looking at it. Our friendly judge and jury here threw him into another universe to learn the error of his ways.

Date: 2008-05-18 04:43 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] rubaiyyat.livejournal.com
[Kalmasham!Master] Yes, the "error of my ways." What I've learned is the extent to which I despise each of you. Rest assured, there is a way to get out, and I will find it.

From: [identity profile] thatsortofaman.livejournal.com
Oh, that's not exactly fair to the universe you threw him into...

[The Doctor [!7]] Oh, I'm confident that they'll be able to handle him. Got a few friends checking in on him from time to time, and this particular city is... semisentient, I guess you could say. And a psycic sinktrap like none other. Doesn't let people go until it's satisfied with them, and it's been good for a few others. From what I hear, it's either shape up or be stuck there forever.

Oh, that's much better. In that case, well done!
