Clearly I should wait to start properly plotting my Script Frenzy thing until three hours before it starts. Yes. This is a wise course of action.

...You're not believing it either, are you? Didn't think so. But I'm still going to attempt it, because I'm... a masochist, clearly. But I've decided I'll be happy if I just finish the pilot, rather than meeting the goal of 100 pages, which measures out to about one and three quarters of an episode in teevee, if you were wondering. ...Well, maybe less than that if you write like Aaron Sorkin, with a bunch of dialogue in a brief span of time.

Anyway. Yes. There was plotting going on.

Meanwhile, Torchwood fandom continues to be full of crazy and remind me why I'm not seriously involved with it, much as I love the show. It's the Jack/Ianto shippers. They freak me out. And then I run into one of them insisting that Jack has no sexual feelings for Gwen from KKBB on, and I can't stop laughing.

And have I ever mentioned that Leonard Cohen songs, no matter what song, will always bring to mind Matt/Suzanne? [livejournal.com profile] newredshoes? This is ALL YOUR FAULT. In the best way possible.

This post really has no point, except I suppose to let you all know that I'm still alive and I do, in fact, do other things with my life than ramble about the Rift. For instance, earlier today, I made scrambled eggs. I'm rather impressed with myself for that. Shut up, it's a big accomplishment for me.

I never could get the hang of scrambled eggs, so clearly, you are awesome.

Somehow I've managed to go 19 years without anyone ever having showed me how to do this. But I did it! I am awesome!

The Jack/Ianto shippers are crazy.

I mean, really, utterly batshit. I love Jack/Ianto, I do. My favorite pairing from the show, but to completely deny Gwen!feelings is kind of ridiculous. :(

I mean, really? Lookit her wedding.

Yay scrambled eggs! :D

... And good luck with Script Frenzy!

I know! I adore Jack/Ianto. But guys? Jack ain't never gonna be monogamous. It's. Not. Happening.

And how they can watch "Something Borrowed" without seeing that YES, he very much wants her, whether they like it or not, I have no idea. Oh, fandom. Never change.

Thank you!

Oh, seriously! I think even Ianto understands that, because he's certainly not seeming like the jealous type. XD

It's blatantly obvious in Something Borrowed. Oh, fandom. Failure, sometimes, failure.

Yeah, that's what drives me nuts about the Torchwood fandom. I ship Jack/Ianto, but even I'll admit that there's mutual attraction between Jack and Gwen in S2. I don't like it (it kind of squicks me, because I'd seen them as having a brother/sister relationship in S1), but it's there. I wish that the writers would choose whether to keep it subtext or make it more blatant, as this in between is unfair to all parties. Anywho. /ramble :)

Oh, and yay for making scrambled eggs! I can't do that. One of my goals is to learn how to make a breakfast burrito, though, which involves scrambled eggs, so I should get on that.

Ahah. Torchwood writers really don't seem to know what they're doing when it comes to Jack/Gwen, and I swear they change their minds just a little with each episode. And that stresses me out too (thank you, Torchwood writers, try for continuity, please?), but not as much as the rabid Jack/Ianto shippers. Who can't seem to grasp that Jack can have a loving relationship and NOT BE MONOGAMOUS. And that Ianto might actually be okay with that.
