There is no reason for this post, really. Except that there's one song I wanted to share with [livejournal.com profile] harbek, who's just gotten into Firefly, and then there were some other things.

Krissy, I don't know if anyone's exposed you to this yet, but if they haven't... something is deeply wrong in the universe, and this needs to be fixed. So here you go: Mal's Song.

And two other songs that have nothing to do with Firefly:

Southern California Wants to be Western New York - This song makes me cry. Almost every time. And I don't even know why. Plus, it's just beautiful. And out of nowhere, it took my On a Saturday verse in a totally different direction than I initially expected and I AM OKAY WITH THAT. Strangely.

Mystery Girl - I downloaded a Gwen mix when I picked her up at [livejournal.com profile] beyondtherift, because I realized I didn't have one and I am... obsessive about fanmixes, and this is my favorite song off that mix. I don't know, it just makes me happy.

Anyone have any music they want to share? Anything you're particularly enjoying right now? Absolutely anything.

Although I would like to request that if anyone has "Affirmation" by Savage Garden or "Coin-Operated Boy" by The Dresden Dolls, maybe you could upload and share it? ♥

EDIT: And half an hour later, Krissy and I are contemplating intricate plans to make Josh Groban sing "Mal's Song". And Adam Pascal too, just for the hell of it. Even if he'll fuck up the lyrics. I DON'T KNOW.

Clearly I should wait to start properly plotting my Script Frenzy thing until three hours before it starts. Yes. This is a wise course of action.

...You're not believing it either, are you? Didn't think so. But I'm still going to attempt it, because I'm... a masochist, clearly. But I've decided I'll be happy if I just finish the pilot, rather than meeting the goal of 100 pages, which measures out to about one and three quarters of an episode in teevee, if you were wondering. ...Well, maybe less than that if you write like Aaron Sorkin, with a bunch of dialogue in a brief span of time.

Anyway. Yes. There was plotting going on.

Meanwhile, Torchwood fandom continues to be full of crazy and remind me why I'm not seriously involved with it, much as I love the show. It's the Jack/Ianto shippers. They freak me out. And then I run into one of them insisting that Jack has no sexual feelings for Gwen from KKBB on, and I can't stop laughing.

And have I ever mentioned that Leonard Cohen songs, no matter what song, will always bring to mind Matt/Suzanne? [livejournal.com profile] newredshoes? This is ALL YOUR FAULT. In the best way possible.

This post really has no point, except I suppose to let you all know that I'm still alive and I do, in fact, do other things with my life than ramble about the Rift. For instance, earlier today, I made scrambled eggs. I'm rather impressed with myself for that. Shut up, it's a big accomplishment for me.
