"There is very little water in Iraq." "Then I'll float in a pool of blood."

Evie and Val and I went to Saundra and Roger's with the puppy last night for drinking and horror movies. There was actually only one movie that we paid absolutely no attention to, but that's not the point. It was fun, even if it did my word count no good at all. ^^

And now I'm a day behind on my word count (more or less), and flailing about that, and cramping, and kind of out of it, but there was peppermint coffee earlier today, and Evie is making brownies, so these things help a lot. I do need more painkillers, though.

Things I need to do (theoretically after catching up on NaNo):
- Draw maps for said NaNo. Riley's house, Jo's house, and the DMA office, mostly. ...A map of Kilgate would be nice too.
- Title the individual books in the DMA trilogy. Or at least the first one. HOW HARD IS IT TO FIND A TITLE?
- Write something for [livejournal.com profile] who_topia
- Read other people's NaNos. Guys, I don't suddenly hate you, I just really can't read things until I'm kind of on schedule, but I am so looking forward to catching up.
- EPIC STRIP CLUB BATTLE IN THE RIFT. ...As soon as I can make puppy eyes at Ael. This will probably actually happen whether I get caught up or not.
- ...I'm sure there's something else, but I'll remember it later.

I am not allowed to stall on writing by making icons for Buffy (who got a paid account and extra iconspace from some wonderful anonymous person). Or for Tosh (who needs icons from season two because she looks too ickle in her S1 icons). Or for the Doctor (who I tend to make icons for just because). Just... no. Writing is happening. Yes.

...Upstairs neighbors, why are you so loud? Why can there not be one hour of the day when you are not sharing your music with the entire building, or having sex in rollerblades against the wall, or bowling with elephants or whatever the HELL you do to make those noises? ladkfja;lkjfaFUCKYOU.

...I'm not moodswingy at all today.

"I'm Batman." "Yeah. You're Batman."

We actually have furniture now, guys! Thanks to Saundra and Roger, who gave us their old couch and coffee table and end tables. It's strange, and Ace spent half an hour circling all the furniture and sniffing it like she expected it to attack or something. Yes, Ace, that furniture is a bunch of ninjas. In disguise. Don't turn your back on it.

Meanwhile, in the land of the Rift, Kara is scaring the living daylights out of Sark and the Doctor is Batman - sorry, better than Batman. (Seriously, I almost forgot the Doctor and Martha could be that adorable, they've had so much angst lately. Apparently a plague is what it takes to bring people together. Hey, whatever works.) Oh, and the Doctor and !TARDIS are full of adorable, including psychic poking of Jack. TARDISspeak does odd thing to narration, by the way. Like leading to use of ":D" as a word. Or something.

I meant to tag Liz or Jet or Juni or Aria too, but my threadbrain died. *Poutsulk* But if it comes back, I'll send someone at them. It makes me sad I can't send Nate at Natasha, because they need to meet, but he's in the basement and she's upstairs. Though maybe Sam... Don't mind me, guys, I'll stop rambling now.

My shoulder aches for some weird reason. I do not appreciate this in the least. Just the one shoulder too, which makes it even stranger somehow. A sufficient amount of coffee has kept the nightly exhaustion at bay, thankfully... So that's something.

I am way more cheerful than I should be right now. I'm just gonna say it's the Doctor's bounciness rubbing off on me. Which, you know, if the Doctor is going to fail at the shoulder rule, there could be worse things for him to go all bleedovery about. There have been worse things for him to go all bleedovery about. I'd like to have happy!Doctor more often, please, if this is the effect he has on me.
