More top fives!
I win at doing memes ridiculously late. XD
Top Five Bad Guys
1. The Master, Doctor Who. I have a personal preference for Simm!Master (and an inability to stop giggling at Ainley!Master when he's on screen), but I like bad guys with EPIC HISTORY with Our Hero, and that lovely balance of style and utter fucking batshit.
2. Julian Sark, Alias. He totally counts. :| The most adorable bad guy ever, but maybe that's just because I can't stop going "But Sark... you're not scary. You're TINY!" A large part of my love for him is
sarkraticmethod's fault (and, by extension,
kawaiispinel's fault).
3. Spike, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He is psychotic and dysfunctional, but adorably so. And I don't give a shit what the opinion of most of fandom is, I liked his development in later seasons (with the exception of some very specific parts of S6). So nyeh.
4. John Hart, Torchwood. ...see above re: Spike.
5. John Thane, Damaged People/Repair/Beyond the Rift. I actually prefer him from his proper canon, because he is just unadulterated horrible in Riftverse, but hey, he has invaded the Rift hivemind as THE ULTIMATE BOGEYMAN. He deserves a mention.
Top five shows you meant to get around to watching but never did
1. Stargate. I will get around to it someday, I really will, and I'm a big sucker for scifi and military and all that shiny stuff, but every time I could go and torrent it I always... forget.
2. Dead Like Me. 'Cause. (Though whenever I do get around to watching it, I will be so weirded out, because Martin's PB is in there. And so not Martin.)
3. Six Feet Under. I'll be honest, this one is mostly because... I'm a sucker for Peter Krause. Shut up.
4. Sliders. Okay, not so much watch as rewatch. I used to watch it, but, y'know. When I was tineh. And I remember none of it.
5. Battlestar Galactica. Another thing that has been sitting on the list FOR AGES. I really need to start actually torrenting these things.
Top Five Gwen Moments
God, this is hard. I'm not allowed to say EVERYTHING, am I? Okay, um...
1. In "Day One", talking to Jack about Carys, her family, her life... Her complete refusal to accept the emotional distance that comes with Torchwood, and the way she practically dares Jack to tell her to back down... And his response, that laugh, the look in his eyes where he just falls in love with her. "Are you always this awkward?"
2. Weapons training. That's... really all that needs to be said. Yeah, sexual harrasment with Jack, always fun, whatever. Mostly? I have a thing for guns, and she is both really sexy and so damn cute with them.
3. Adrift Adrift Adrift Adrift. I can't watch the episode much, because... uh... I end up wanting to punch Rhys repeatedly in the face (and Jack, but mostly Rhys), but I just. Love it. The whole episode. I always forget that until I end up watching it - thankfully, I did a S2 rewatch not that long ago, so I still remember. My absolute favorite part of the episode is when Gwen's wandering around the island, up in the lighthouse, and oh god, the talk with Jack looking out over the ocean.
4. Gwen in the police station in Exit Wounds. Face it, she is fucking badass. Rhys and Andy pretty much covered my opinion of that scene. "Bloody impressive, man." "She is that, yeah. Lucky sod."
5. Um... can I say the entirety of Day Two of CoE? Whatever, I'm saying it anyway. She is fucking badass the whole way through. Particular favorite parts of that episode include in the beginning where she pwns the fake EMTs, and sneaking in to rescue Jack with Rhys. (Especially that little "shut the hell up" gesture she makes at Rhys over the guy's head. SO MANY HEARTS. And her faaace upon seeing naked Jack. ...I know I'm ridiculous. You don't have to say it.)
Top Five OTPs
1. Tenth Doctor/Martha. It is terribly unhealthy and continues to break my heart even though Martha's been off the TARDIS for ages now, but I can't help it. Every time they're together, my heart just does happy/breaky somersaults in my chest.
2. Jack/Martha. When I've had enough of the Doctor and Martha breaking my heart, this is the happy ship I go to. Jack adores her and it's so patently obvious every time he's around her, and as much as Martha loves him too, she also doesn't put up with his shit. They're really good for the angst too, which is always a plus, if you're me. XD
3. Jack/Gwen. They don't even have to be together to make me happy. I just love watching them interact. They're both good and bad for each other, in different ways, and I'm okay with that. I could explain why I love them, but... oh, it would probably be easier to just read those fics I wrote that pretty much encapsulate it. (Warning: Use of the word "Gwack" in my presence will get you punched, because it's a sign you're probably a dick.)
4. Tosh/Suzie. DON'T JUDGE ME. You will never convince me this is not canon. Watch them together in "Everything Changes", when Gwen first comes into the Hub and Suzie comes over to hover just over Tosh's shoulder. Or the way they interact in TKKS, when it's just the two of them in the Hub. And Mary? Totally a rebound from Suzie. I'm attached to my crackship.
5. Jack/Tosh. I JUST WANT TOSH TO HAVE SOME HAPPY IN HER LIFE, OKAY? And if she's going to kill everyone she loves... I'm also a fan of Jack/Tosh/Ianto and Tosh/Ianto.
Those ended up being all Whoniverse, but whatever. The Whoniverse is my One True Fandom right now.
I still have a bunch more of these to do. I will get to them eventually.

BSG.....is not silly. But it's awesome. And I will be shocked if you don't get a headvoice from that show because there are a couple of characters that are totally your type. So don't say I didn't warn you. ;)

AUGH. THANK YOU. THANK YOU SO MUCH. You do not know HOW BADLY it pisses me off that people hate that. In fact, the whole Spikeification trope actually pisses me the fuck off, because it's like saying, "VILLAINS AND ANTI-HEROES CAN NEVER HAVE POSITIVE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. EVER. >:E"
EDIT: Also Sliders is SO GOOD... Until you get halfway through S3 and then I just want to CRY, it gets so bad. And Dead Like Me is seriously one of the best shows. I mean... Bryan Fuller is GOD. And his dialogue is so snappy and snarky. (ALSO. SNARKY NARRATOR, AUBREY.)
no subject
Yeah. One of the major reasons I've had nothing to do with Buffy fandom, because... I don't think they get Spike. Like, at all. That character development was... exactly where he needed to go, and I liked it. Bastards. (Then, one of my favorite seasons is S7, and almost everyone hates it, so... I dunno.)
I have only the vaguest memories of Sliders. I was seriously tineh when I used to watch it, but I badly want to rewatch it. Plus... Sabrina Lloyd. TINY Sabrina Lloyd!!! ...Yeah, I should do something about torrenting it.

S6 and S7 are my two favorite seasons and they strike me as the most universally DESPISED. And yeah, I'll admit there are things I HATE about S6 (there's really nothing I actively dislike about S7, except, perhaps, Kennedy), but... Seriously, fandom? And I really don't think Spike lost ANY badass points just because he got declawed a bit. Everything I loved about him was still there and... Gah. Yeah, I think the fandom just really doesn't get him. (Nor do, apparently, the people at TV Tropes who started this shit.)*
THERE'S ALSO JERRY O'CONNELL WITH FLOPPY HAAAAIR. It's a good fluff show when you have no brains for anything else. Kinda like Warehouse 13, but with more alternate universes. And adorable.
*Incidentally, I'm a 99.9% certain that people crying this trope on Irina in Alias was why her character got BUTCHERED in the last season and why she went right back to SQUARE ONE on the character development scale after having really turned around in four seasons. HAVE I MENTIONED HOW MUCH I HATE PANDERING? (Not that it's for CERTAIN pandering, but I could see it being that way.)

>a rebound
that makes sense. (I've not considered that before, but it makes more sense than how the show presented it: grr at them)
>And if she's going to kill everyone she loves...
Makes perfect sense!
question is, do Martha and Tosh get joint custody of Jack?

And totally agreement about the Master (although my preference tends to run to Delgado before Simm!) It's so much fun.
Dead Like Me! Dead Like Me is well worth watching if you find the time - it's absolutely brilliant fun, great black humour.

I have actually seen very little Delgado, and some day I need to remedy that. There is an epic Classic Who mainlining on the schedule at some point, just... after I move. I'm putting off a lot of things until after the move.
So I have heard! And I'm fond of Bryan Fuller in general, so I'm pretty sure I'll love it. ^^

They both save their "teams" on a regular basis through technical skill or just plain awesomeness, but (Rose/Owen) never looks at (Mickey/Tosh) (anymore/at all) because (the Doctor/Gwen, Diane, etc) is so much more fascinating.
Battlestar Galactica is awesome and you should watch it. That is all. ;-)

AND TOSH/SUZIE IS SO CANON OMG. I totally and fully agree with you.
...Also, Jack/Tosh wins all. I ♥ Jack/Tosh. >>
