Whisper in a dead man's ear, that doesn't make it real...

My puppy is being aggressively cute. It's both endearing and really, really irritating. Also, she's getting pretty damn big now, so I have absolutely no idea how she manages to be as stealthy as she is. I'll be sitting on the couch, laptop in front of me, and then suddenly I look down and she's on the couch next to me, head on my thigh, and ASLEEP, so she's obviously been there for some time. And she makes these disgruntled grumbling noises if I try to move her. Really, Ace? Must you?

Peer pressure is real, and as a result, I am downloading Alias. I blame [livejournal.com profile] kawaiispinel, and have already established I will be coming after her if I develop a headvoice of any sort. I'll forgive her, though, because the idea of Juliet being in Torchwood 4 fills me with such squee. (I don't even watch Lost, guys. I just love these characters because of Chris.)

That squee, by the way, resulted in the following conversation about Torchwood, which I feel must be shared because... well, just because.

Me: I can't put my finger on it, but something about her is very Torchwoody... also, if you're not careful, you're going to end up playing half of Torchwood. JUST LIKE ME.
[livejournal.com profile] kawaiispinel: That thought totally occured to me after I read Jack's suggestion post. XD Geez, that's, what, three possible characters in, including Marshall?
Me: Yeah. Torchwood does that to you. It just sort of sneaks up on you and one day you turn around and go "Waaaaiiit... what happened here?"
...At least, that's how it happened to me.
[livejournal.com profile] kawaiispinel: *snort* Sounds like Torchwood. Clearly their covert ops budget was spent sneaking up on unsuspecting people like that... Or, you know, something clever like that.
Me: So it would seem. Torchwood: They have their priorities straight.
Chris: *giggles* Oh yes. Clearly.

And here, have a meme: Gather all your RP journals, list the characters and any AU versions you RP. Open the post to the public so even lurkers can ask the muses questions. Respond with that RP account.

It's not all my characters - I'm mostly going to be doing my Rift characters (present, possible future, and random lurkers), and characters from my current writing project, because they're the ones talking to me now, with some random additions. Yes, I never can follow the rules of memes exactly as they are written. And if your characters feel like questioning mine? By all means, have at.

[Khor] Master:

Why the grey grimy fuck would you put that much effort into conquering anything?

[Dylan] Hi! *Grin* We should go out drinking or something some time. What d'you think?

[identity profile] homoraptor.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
D'haw. First Among Freakshows is losing her edge, innit she?

[identity profile] taibhsearachd.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
No. I'll let you know when you have.

[identity profile] ourowndragons.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
Mmm. It would be kind of pathetic if she weren't, you know, terrifying.

[identity profile] homoraptor.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
Eh, lemme get two or three of my bestest friends together. We could take her.

[identity profile] sarkraticmethod.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
Right. Of course.

[identity profile] thatsortofaman.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
Yes! Absolutely! Assuming the universes ever cooperate with us and that becomes possible.

I am taking care of her! And she seems perfectly happy to me! Starting to show a tendency to adopt little girls, though I suppose if you were as much an example in that regard as I would've been, I can't really blame her...

[identity profile] ourowndragons.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
Can I watch? From a safe distance... *Bounce*

[identity profile] kawaiispinel.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
[Selaphiel] Sounds boss! Barachiel would blow a gasket, but he's got bigger things to worry about than who I'm drinking with.

[identity profile] homoraptor.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
Oh of course! All behemoths together, yeah?

[identity profile] definitivestep.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
*Not at all weirded out. Really*

...Hello. You already know who I am, don't you? *Starting to wish that would stop happening, as it was strange enough with Jack*

[identity profile] rubaiyyat.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
[The Doctor [!7]] Oh, well now, be fair – it wasn't always little girls. And most of them couldn't really be called "little". And then there were a few for which neither class of descriptor, size nor gender, could really apply at all....

Oh! You should keep an eye out for Kamelion there, somewhere; he's been knocking around in the back hallways for I don't know how long. Decided that he'd rather stay by the TARDIS whom he liked rather than out there in the big mean world with projective psychics. Not that I can really blame him, in his position. Haven't seen him in months, now that I think about it, but that's hardly unusual.

Just, you know, be aware that he may come wandering up to the console room sometime in the next... year or so. (Not that I expect her to be stuck there that long.)

[identity profile] kawaiispinel.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
[Pagiel] Hey, there's no way you can fail as badly as I did. If he were mortal when I had him, I would have lost him centuries ago.

Never mind the fact that the Doctor seems to be better at making him less of a morally gray freak than I ever was. So really, you have nowhere to go but up.

[Dylan] We could pretend to be twins. Really, really badass twins.

...Why does he care who you drink with?

[identity profile] technicallyiam.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
Oooh sounds like a party I could get behind.

[identity profile] 2ndchanceacharm.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
*Not... really... looking at her*

Oh. Well. Good. I guess.

[identity profile] rubaiyyat.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
[Sixten] General patterns, yes. In a more specific sense of "knowing you," only so far as one can be said to "know," implicitly, one's alternate-universe digressive timeline.

Pleasure to meet you.

[identity profile] kawaiispinel.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
[Selaphiel] Yes! That would be awesome.

Oh Barachiel's very by the book in his own way. It's nothing against anyone I hang out with... He doesn't think I should be making it a habit with getting involved with earthly affairs. We're supposed to be above these things.

This is why it's so much cooler not to have to serve some higher God, but saying so is likely to get me struck by lightning or bring The Met down on me.

[identity profile] homoraptor.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
It's a party the bigger the better!

[identity profile] thatsortofaman.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, well, fair enough. It's really more the adopting thing I think she's picked up on. Just wondering if I can blame that on you. ...I'm not sure who to blame the odd grammar on.

I'm sorry, who's Kamelion?

[Dylan] Pfft. Well that's stupid.

Would you really get struck by lightning? *Might think that's very cool. Just a little*

*Vague, uncertain smile* Pleasure to meet you too.

[The Doctor [!7]] Kamelion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamelion)? Shapeshifting, psychically-controlled android? He's sort of programmed to obey the strongest will around – blastedly inconvenient, not to mention unfair, for a sentient creature, I say – so the last time he went out I wound up in a tug-of-war for his psyche with some would-be conqueror names Pharaxis. Only won when I called the TARDIS up and brought her into the fray, which is slightly embarrassing. Still, even asleep, she's a force to be reckoned with.

And you can't rightly hold me to blame for that language – if you want to blame someone, go after Omega, I'd say. I understand he was the one who created the structured query controls in the first place. I'd only had her away for just shy of a week when reality gapes wide and grabs her. Before that, she was just all ambient psychic noise. •shrugs•
