So. I wrote a fic. Set between the end of Parting of the Ways and the beginning of Torchwood. Jack is in WWI. It makes reference to the Doctor and Rose. I get this comment:

Just one thing: i think Rose and Jack met during WW2 and this is WW1...

Why are people dumb? WHY?

*Snerk* What I ended up doing was pulling out the "the history of the 20th century as according to Jack Harkness" card and somehow managed to refrain from calling her an idiot. Just barely.

Ahahahaha, I'd have gone for the squareness gun, fictional or not. Although I suppose in order disintegrate someone's mind, they'd have to have one first. O_o
